Story so far: The initiative, launched by Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar in July, aims to provide good quality care to all. Under this initiative, Public Health Doctors are being telemonitored and care pathways have been made for training and fielding doctors in all districts.

  • The initiative is also educating patients on the importance of taking medicines as they often do not.
  • The Ka-BHI is a first of its kind in India, with the primary objective of promoting brain health.

Importance of brain health: The initiative aims to promote brain health in the healthcare sector starting from primary health centres all the way to tertiary levels. NIMHANS is planning to extend the initiative to other districts as well.
