To show their appreciation for the traffic police, fifty school students gathered on Tuesday at the Traffic Police Park. The event was organised by the Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA) and was titled Celebrating Namma Bengaluru’s Traffic Police.

What’s it about? The students gave away flowers, poems, and thank you cards to the personnel of traffic police and expressed their gratitude for their services. The students said that they were very happy that they were attending such an event. They also said that this event is as significant as teacher’s day.

  • The event marks the end of a three-month campaign by the CMCA to recognise traffic cops and educate pupils about traffic laws.
  • Dr MA Saleem, Special Commissioner of Traffic Police, praised the pupils and added that their appreciation of the traffic police’s efforts would improve their morale and efficiency.
