₿ Dominating crypto job market

Bengaluru accounts for 36.4% of the crypto job market in India, according to data from job site Indeed.

Decline in job postings: The data reveals a decline in crypto-related job postings by 64.2% and a 15.2% drop in job searches between August 2022 and 2023. Following Bengaluru, other cities like Pune, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Kochi contribute to the market with percentages ranging from 4.66% to 7.32%.

  • Application developers top the list of crypto job listings, making up 10.86%, followed by enterprise architects at 5.97%.
  • The decline in crypto jobs comes after a period of growth, with an 804% increase in such jobs from April 2020 to April 2022, according to Sashi Kumar, head of sales at Indeed India.

Bengaluru on top: The dip in job postings and searches can be attributed to volatile market conditions and regulatory concerns. Despite the decline, Bengaluru continues to be a significant player in the Indian crypto job market.

🦌 Deer deaths

Sixteen deer have died at Bannerghatta Biological Park in Bengaluru due to abdominal-related diseases and internecine fights.

What’s it about? The deaths follow the recent loss of seven leopard cubs infected by a highly contagious virus, Feline panleukopenia. The 37 spotted deer were transferred from St. John’s Hospital in Bengaluru to Bannerghatta Biological Park last month. Out of these, 16 died due to ‘hemorrhagic enteritis and endocarditis’ and fighting among themselves.

  • Karnataka Minister for Forest, Ecology, and Environment Eshwara Khandre visited the park and instructed all zoos in the state to be on high alert.
  • The Minister also advised officials to vaccinate cats like leopards, lions, and tigers in various zoos, including the famous Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in Mysuru.

More vigilance: The Minister emphasized that Forest and Medical Officers should coordinate to inspect all animals and prioritize their care and conservation. He also ordered officials to immediately inform the government and higher authorities in case of sudden or suspicious deaths of any wild animals.
