What’s it about? Savaari, a multilingual fusion band, created an anthem titled ‘It’s World Cup Time’ for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, reflecting Team India’s performance. The band, inspired to compose a more fitting anthem for the event, worked tirelessly to release the music video before India’s opening match against Australia.

🐆 Wildlife task forces

The government sets up a leopard task force and reviews elephant conflict strategies.

What’s it about? The Karnataka state government has set up a leopard task force in Bengaluru, responding to increasing leopard sightings in the city’s outskirts. This task force, covering areas like Kaggalipura, Anekal, and Yelahanka, will monitor leopard movements and coordinate with local authorities. Additionally, Minister Eshwar B Khandre is focusing on man-elephant conflicts, urging the development of preventive measures and requesting a report on recent incidents.

🧑🏽‍💼 TiE Global Summit 2024

TiE Global Summit is set to be held in Bengaluru in December 2024.

What’s it about? The Bengaluru chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) will host the 9th edition of the TiE Global Summit (TGS) in December 2024. This event, which is TiE’s annual flagship conference for entrepreneurs, will be a joint effort of TiE chapters across Karnataka, including Mangaluru, Mysuru, and Hubballi.

  • TGS 2024 will focus on the theme ‘Putting entrepreneurship first’ to foster diverse entrepreneurial ecosystems.

BBMP plans to add 600 public toilets in Bengaluru.
