An apartment complex on Kanakapura Road has started water rationing and has seen a 20% reduction in water usage. Similarly, a complex in Kengeri is considering rationing water at night and possibly during the day as well. Residents are also being educated on water conservation, with measures like checking for leaks and installing water-saving aerators in place.

- Some communities are encouraging a waterless celebration of Holi to conserve water.
